Licence

Lestapenna is free software. You may use it, study how it works, modify it and redistribute it — including a modified version — under the terms of the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The full text ships with the source, in the LICENSE file of each repository.

Why the AGPL and not something more permissive

A permissive licence would let someone take this work, run it as a paid service, and give nothing back — including the improvements they made to it. The AGPL closes that: if you run a modified version as a network service for other people, you have to offer those users the source of your version. Not just if you distribute the binary — if you let strangers use it over a network.

That is the whole point. This was given to the tabletop community; the licence makes sure it stays given.
